Family Photo Op

When the eldest got his senior pictures done this fall, my mother-in-law, who is a professional photographer, wanted to get family pictures done again.  It has been a few years since we have had this done and everyone has grown up a lot the last couple of years.

First Day of Homeschooling~Nearing the Finish Line

We started on this journey 17 years ago, pretty much with no clue what we were doing. Hubby and I were both public school graduates, who leaped, both feet first, into the world of homeschooling with our five children. The three oldest had a year or two under their belt, the youngest two never stepped inside a school building. It was hard, wonderful, scary and fulfilling all at the same time. I know that is one my greatest achievements here on this earth.   The first day of school picture looks very different this year. Just him and I. My baby (not so much). What I Am Working On~Wednesday

In my last post I had mentioned there was a lot of things happening with our family. One of those big things going on is another wedding in August! Our oldest will be getting married to a sweet girl we love and adore. I am trying to help out with as much as they need me to. I am always considered the "crafty one" in the bunch so I am working on cupcake trays for the reception. I have been scouring thrift store for candlesticks and plates and trays that I can glue together and use for trays. Thrift Store Trays  The other thing I am working on right now is a backdrop that will hang from the screens at the front of the church. I have almost finished one and will hopefully get the second one done before the wedding! It is an easy project, just time consuming. But it gives me something to keep my hands busy at night.
