Our New Farm Logo



Isn't this cute?  My amazing and talented daughter created this for me to use for yarn labels and stickers.  I am so blessed to have such talented kids who are using their God-given gifts.  If anyone is interested in having something like this done for yourself and have an idea, get with me and K. can see if she can create something for you too!  She did this from "back-end" pictures we took of our animals this morning.  The animals weren't too happy to stand still but we got the pictures we needed!

First Day of Homeschooling~Nearing the Finish Line

We started on this journey 17 years ago, pretty much with no clue what we were doing. Hubby and I were both public school graduates, who leaped, both feet first, into the world of homeschooling with our five children. The three oldest had a year or two under their belt, the youngest two never stepped inside a school building. It was hard, wonderful, scary and fulfilling all at the same time. I know that is one my greatest achievements here on this earth.   The first day of school picture looks very different this year. Just him and I. My baby (not so much). Friday on the Farm ~ My Crazy Life

I am pretty sure reality TV shows are birthed out of lives like mine. Over the last four years we have gutted and remodeled a huge portion of our farmhouse, graduated three children from homeschool, became foster parents to four children under 2 years old, started a daycare to continue care for two of these kiddos and expanded the daycare to include others that are in our care still today. All the while keeping up with our small farm, Hubby's day job changing and growing and his radio ministry continuing. Crazy. There really is no other word that explains it better. Somewhere along the way I lost parts of myself that I truly love. Simple things like baking and cooking, making things, crocheting and knitting, even my spinning of yarn from our animals became tedious because there was always something else.
